Museum of History and Ethnography Rascaieti

Museum of History and Ethnography Rascaieti

he Museum of History and Ethnography in Răscăieți has a biography of several decades. In its 52 years of existence, the museum has collected one by one things that deserve to be exhibited in a museum. The museum was created in 1949 by former geography teacher Anatol Shareaev and opened to the public in 1968 (being located in the church), and then in 1988 it was transferred to the Răscăieți House of Culture. The museum exhibits are organized in three areas: archeology, ethnography and memorialism. Here take place many artistic, cultural-educational events for everyone's tastes, such as: "Fair of small artisans", "Multi-ethnic cultural dialogue", "Wheel of time", "Martisor parade", "Stories recovered from the dust of history", "The Story of Bones" and others.
In the museum can be admired fighting tools and work from the flints of primitive people (knives, old dishes, scrapers, spearheads and arrows), handicrafts (pliers, hammers, knives, plows), household items (mugs, cleaners , woolen clothes, hangers, hinges, irons, scales, axes, forks, rakes, shovels), folk costumes, carpets and traditional towels. The remnants of war have a special corner. All this makes you return to the tumultuous history of our country. From the exhibition curiosity presents an ancient amphora and shards of Greek amphorae found on the banks of the Dniester and the bones of a mammoth.
