Celebration of the Dniester River

On 31 May, at the Pension "La Tudora", we met a lot of beautiful people from the National Park "Lower Dniester", as well as from the Austrian Development Agency, Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Moldova, Water agency "Apele Moldovei" Agency, Forest Agency "Moldsilva", Ștefan Vodă District Council, Causeni District Council and many more, to celebrate with three different but important occasions:

  • Dniester Day
  • Creation of the Lower Dniester National Park
  • Final of the 3rd project done with the support of the Austrian Development Agency Ecosystem based adaptation, climate resilience measures and institutional development in the Ramsar area “Lower Dniester”. This project was carried out in partnership with EcoContact.

We lived moments of gratitude for the work which was done and we confessed how hard it has been to reach this stage since 1995 and how much we still think it is necessary to work for the National Park to become a functional and exemplary protected natural area. We thanked everyone for participating and the Dniester for life

May nature be ennobled!
