The main core area of the Lower Dniester Ramsar Site is the "Talmaza Meadow" sector (with an area of 1886 ha), which contains forest massifs with numerous meadows, a lake (24 ha), an almost closed loop of the old riverbed, which recently separated from the Dniester , permanent flooded and dry canals, ponds, swamps, meadows and sectors of abandoned agricultural land. There are wild areas that are difficult to cross, with dense undergrowth, with trees felled by wind and storm. The crown of the forest is often closed, and at the same time there are many meadows and meadows in the forest. There are large swampy areas with an extensive surface of water.
