Creation of the working groups for informing citizens about the creation of the Lower Dniester National Park

In the period between 2019 and 2020, within the project "Ensuring decisional transparency in the process of establishing the Lower Dniester National Park", implemented by the Ecological Society "Biotica", with the support of U.S. Embassy Moldova, assessed the degree of community resilience in the Ramsar Zone ‘Lower Dniester’, as well as were created and developed in each locality of the area, working groups for informing citizens about the creation of the Lower Dniester National Park. The working groups, set up on the basis of the regulation on decision-making transparency, by ordering of the mayors in each locality, included councilors, teachers, economic agents and different opinion leaders from each locality.

The role of the working group is exceptionally important, namely to exhaust all the ambiguities regarding the aspects of the creation of the Lower Dniester National Park, in order to be able to explain to the other villagers about the benefits of entering the locality in the future National Park.
